The new Bally Pro Wave game cabinet features two base game themes to play, one based around the famed black night of the movie who would stop fighting even after Arthur took all his limbs, uttering the famous lines 'Let's call it a draw then'. Despite the whimsical theme, there is still a plot in this game - albeit a vague one but still Monty Python. On the way, Arthur battles the Black Knight who, despite having had all his limbs chopped off, insists he can still fight. The majority of the game is a point and click interface, where the player must also collect items to complete puzzles, and complete the missing planks on the bridge of death. All these extras together can either get on your nerves like nothing else or make you laugh until you drop from your chair! King Arthur, accompanied by his squire, recruits his Knights of the Round Table, including Sir Bedevere the Wise, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot and Sir Galahad the Pure. Just like the movie, the entire thing is all bundled in silly irreverence. This movie was released in the year 1975. Their quest comes to an end however when the police intervene - just what you would expect in a Monty Python movie.
The objective is to move through the world and collect a series of objects in order to cross the bridge of death. The result is a unique collection of considerable breadth. I fail to see why you cannot explore elsewhere if you are stuck and return later to retry. As in Waste Of Time, these games are mostly adaptations of more familiar games. These mini games are variants of well known strategy games such as Tetris, Follow the Leader, and Whack a Mole. If you have never seen the movie, it can be a real challenge to figure out what to do in each scene and how the actions contribute to your quest.
